how life?
I am so not good writing on thins thing..but I`ll try to be better:)
It`s going good over here..tomorrow i`m gonna paint my room,and i even have people to help me!So thats awesome..
I might change my blog to blogspirit,instead og blogspot,cause i`m gonna try to get pictures and stuff on my blog.but if i do,i`ll give you all my new blogadress....yeah

well today i`m gonna pluck some blueberryes for mom and dad,and then Ì have to fix some stuff with my school,so yeah..

So now i`m back from bible week,sitting at home,just finished waching `2fast and 2furious`!It`s a sweet movie!`Bible week was very good,lots of good teaching and lots of people i hadn`t seen for a while,so that was!Other than that i got into university,so your now `looking`at a coming teacher!oyeah....:)so now I have to start moving into my appartment,but i have to paint it first...but yeah..that`ll be nice.and then i have to get myself a job...so things are going good.It`s so gerat to wak in Gods plans.everythings working out!I`m so happy about that!well fokes it`s 12.00 at night,so i better go to bed...just thought i would give you all a short summery of my wonderful life back nin Bergen...yeah..

excited,weird and a little bit strange

So I`ve been home for like 4 days almoust,and it`s still a little bit weird but good!I am very excited for what God has for me thids next season of life,it can`t be nothing but good!:)
Tomorrow we`re leaving for bibleweek,which is like 7 houres form here,with car...
It`s gonna be a great bibleweek,cause God`s gonna be there!

I`m moving into my appartment in a copple of qweeks,so that`ll be exciting to..start walking again..:)

So now i`m back in Norway!yeah!!It`s really weird to be here,but fun at the same time.
The wether is acctually very nice and warm..I think i brought it with me from USA..:)
Tonight i`m going to youth group so that`ll be cool..and interesting

well i had to change my blogname,cause the thoughs are not form america anymore..and so i ended up with `Silje May`,not to creative but okey i guess...if my creative mind takes over one day i might change it,but untill then....

To all of you back in Grand Rapids and to all the Gappers: I hope all of you are having a wonderfull weekend,and i miss you all..but i`ll see you again sometime soon..yeah let`s say that..:)

This will proabbebly be my last blog from America,cause i'm leaving in a week and a half..
To go back to my beautiful homeland:Norway:)..This year has been one of the greatest years of my life!God has done so much in me,and i know that this is just the beginning!
I want to thank everyon that has been a part of my life this year!You all mean so much to me!I am so lucy to know you all,and i'm gonna miss you all very much!
Thank you again for everything..I also want to thank my family back home that has supported me all year with words,prayers and love!I couldn't have done it without you all!i love you all mamma,pappa,sunniva,solvor and svanhild!There are so many more people that i want to thank:my church back home for youre prayers and support,all the people that made it possible for me to come to the usa,and stay here for a year,The Nofsingers that let me stay in there house,and made me a part of their family,The Krafts for opening up their hearts an=d their home to me,Andrew and Angela for letting me come on the GAP team,and for giving me of their time,wisdom and energi, the Van Duines for having me over every other wedensday for life group:for loving me and for paula,for speaking into my life..and all the kids and Todd for showing me love,and for giving me joy!Thank you youth group for being such a great youth group:thank you Amber for all the times we had together i'm gonna miss you so much!Thank you Rose,Camille,Hillary,Penny,Hannah and all of the girls for always making me have a great time,Nathan B,Thad,Joel,Jonathan and the guys for always making me laugh!I love you all so much!!

yeah...this blog goes out to all the Norwegians! I'm sitting here in..yeah let's say 80-90 degrees..that's like 30-40 celcius..and it's HOTdudelicious!:)

And in this country they have pools everywhere,and lakes..so thats what i've been doing these last few days..swimming,swimming..and ofcourse SUNBATHING!man it's beautiful!And to top it all we're having life group at the Van Duines tomorrow..and guess what...they have a pool too!!and for my visiting friends,they understands what an exciting experience it is to go to the Van Duines..oyeah..

so what can i say?Life is beautiful!And right now i am happy to be in HOTdudelicious America instead of "if I walk to fast my nosehair will freeze and break" Noway.

But hey dont get me wrong Norway is still close to my heart!..I'm just enjoying the hotness over here...oooyeah

Today at the Gap we wached "supersiZe me"...oh my word,that was sceary..if you haven't seen it,it's about this guy that goes on a Mc-diet where he just eat Mcdonalds food for 30 days:breakfast,lunch,dinner,you name it...and you can just imagine how that goes..not good..

but yeah,it's sceary what fast food can do to you..something that i have discovered after i took the trip to America. When i was back home,I first of all use to walk everywhere..and then i only ate fast food like maby 2-3 times a month...but over here i eat fast food like 2-3 times a WEEK..isn't that horrible??i mean i try not to eat as much fast food as i did when i came,but it's still alot of fast food that comes into my body!..A big part of why i eat so much fast food is proabbebly because i'm on the gap team..and you're always on the run....

but just to be awhere of what fast food can do to your body,to your health..
it's amazing and not very cool,to put it that way.

Prayer Furnace,Explotion and Crash

oh my...this has been a fabules weekend!It started out with a 24 houre prayer furnace and ended with the movie "Crash"

Saterday we had a 24 houre prayer furnace and that was sweet!we started out early in the morning and keept going to sunday morning!Gods present was so powerful!And from 7-9 we had live worship and that was amazing.

And then Sunday night we had "explotion",that is a time of worship,and anyone who wants to can come..and that was really good to..To see young people praise God with all that they have,and see them always wanting more of him is such a beautiful sight!I love it!And there are so many ways to worship God in!so many times do we limmit God, when it comes to worship...worship can bee shown in so many ways,not just singinig songs..!yeah it was a sweet night.

and then after that,a bunch of us went to see "Crash",and that ladies and gentlemen is a gooooooood movie!I really liked it!so my advice would be: see it!

so as you can see my weekend was fantastico!And the wether is coming along as well...sunny and warm..:)

Garden State and Ever After

hello everyone!

great evening here in Grand rapids.Just came back from waching 'Garden State'.That is a really good movie!different,but good..( i recomand it!)
It's this story about a guy that has had a really bad childhood,but then he meet this girl..and yeah you have to find out the rest on your own,but dont worry,it's not a cheesy chick flick!it really is a cool movie so yeah..

And then when i came home,my favorite movie was on:ever after..and that is a GREAT movie,after my oppinion..but that,i have to admit is kind of a girly movie,but hey after all i am a girl,so yeah..but its a fabules movie!;)

How God speaks..

i thought it was about time i would write something..it's been a while since last time..
Well it's going great!only 8 week untill i'm back in beautifull Norway!i;m so excited!but before that time the GAP is going to St.Charles..and thats awesom to!
This weekend there is a wedding here in GR,April and Josh is getting married and the Gap's gonna help them out,decorating and stuff,so that'll be fun.

I talked to my dad the other day(whom i love very much),actually i talked to my whole family who i love very much to(though i mention them all so that they wont get offended:)but yeah..the point was that i talked to my dad,and he just got back from manchester in the UK,and he told me that God was doing great things down there!which was exciting to hear!..He told me that God woke him up one night and told him a name of a person,and god told him everything about this person.the next day at the meeting God points out a man in the crowd(to my dad),and my dad could tell this man everything that was going on in his life,what he struggeled with and so on.and when this person comes forward my dad relices that this man is the same man that God spoke to him about throught the dream!!and the man get saved,and is so tuched God!

I just thougt that was amazing!how God can use people,like my dad,to tuch peoples heart's so that they even get saved!words of knowlege,and the way God speaks to us is so amazing!

good morning everyone!

so many things have happened since last time i wrote!
I'm so excited!God is doing great things among us,and he is just starting!

Sunday night we had explotion youth group(where we worship all night)...and it took of!God was so near and people got healed,people were dancing and shouting and praising God with everything they had!It was a beatutiful sight!

When we are open for God to do anything he wants,and when we are hungry for more of him,he will move in powerful ways!we need to expect more,and we need to give ourself to the one who created us!We need to be so hungry for God,because he has great things ahead for us,and we need to expect great things,so that greater things can be given to us!

God is so good,and it is an exciting time to live in!God is moving powerfuly!

Summer is closing in!it's already april 1!I'm so excited!

I've had a great day,and the weather is sweet. God has really been speaking to me a lot lately about: setting your life appart for God,and that it's we're facing a new "time",where God is gonna do new things.

just like the spring,it's a symbol of life,the trees get leafs,the flowers starts coming up from the ground,and everything is given new life. And thats what God wants to give us.I mean sometimes we get so used to what we have,that when we pray,we dont expect something totally new.But hello,it's God we're talking about!!the one who created everything!He always wants to do something new in our lifes! And thats so fabulantic!:)

and have also been reading Rom 6:1-14.."dead to sin,but alive in Christ"
We have such a freedom in Christ!He freed us from all sin and gave us a freedom!a freedom to set our lifes apart for him, which means that when ever he calls us or speaks to us we need to listen and be obedient. It's so important that God knows that he can count on us,because then he will start using us for greater things that we can imagine!!
It's so exciting that God can speak to us like this everyday,all the time!I just love him so much,and how he always keep showingme new things.

the end of spring break..

an other beautiful day in St.Charles. Today i'm going back,cause tomorrow we start GAP. It has been a great spring break,i have really enjoyed it!

yesterday i went for a walk outside,just to talk with God..it was so good..it is true what is written in Psalms 23 ..."he leads me besides quiet waters,he makes me lay down in green pastures,he restores my soul.."....how each time i spen time with him i fell restored and i have more strenght than i had before..to spen time with GOd is the best thing i can ever do!I am do gratefull that i know him.

Chicago here we come!
today we have decided to go downtown...and yeah it's snowing like never before...but as norwegians i guess we have to take it as vikings!

just ate some vitaminbjorner...bears that are full of vitamines!and it tastes awesome..if healthy stuff taste like this,maby should try eat stuff thats healthy more often.!

Yestereday we(me and all my norwgians) arrived safely in St.Charles by train...yeah and today the wetter is beautiful!!and we are soon going outside..so i'm very excited about that!!!I'm also going to meet my good friend Kristine soon,and i haven't seen her for 7 months,so yeah imagine how excited i am about that!!!!

a hunger in my heart

good morning!!

today we are at life group at the Van Duines. A fantastic family from grand rapids!
i brought all of my norwgian friends,and they loved it!
we talked about al tha good things that God had done in our lives this week,and then we talked about diffrent things that God has been speaking to us about..one thing that i thougt was really good was about how God can creat a famine in our lifes,so that it will increes our hunger for him in our lives.

That really spoke to me...how God can use a famine to create a greater hunger for himin our hearts. And we talked about the 400 where God dint speak to his people...from Amos 2;11-12..that God told his prophets not to prophesy..think about that! 400 years where God didn't speak to his people cause they didnt listen to him..God created a famine of his present in their lifes.."It was not a famine of food or a thirst for water,but a famine of hearing the word of God"..

That just made me reliece how if there is a famine in our lives,it might be there so that our hunger for God might increes. I mean picure a week without God speaking to you,without his presence,and then picture 400 years!! And then you can understand how blesse we are that we can hear God speak everyday,and that we can live in his presence every day!

and then just a quote that made me think: " God used a famine to serve HIs purpose until the fullness of time. He used the witholding of His word to prepare for the revealing of the word."(HIs Living Word,Jesus: the expression of the heart and mind of God in human flesh)

yeah..by the way i have had a great day today..some of my norwegian friends are visiting,and we are having a blast..!!!very much so...!tomoroow we're going to St.Charles...to yeah..anyways..have to do something else now..been on the computer way too long today...wors are staring to gang up on me....ooh my.....

well tomorrow it's up britgh and early!life group at the Van Duines!yeah!
